   New Rules for Player
The following is an excerpt form the Player's Edge column in today's issue of the LVRJ. Check out LVRJ via the TalkVegas homepage links to view the article in its entirety.

"Recently, the MGM Mirage Players Club, (currently up and running at The Mirage, Treasure Island and MGM Grand Detroit), has gone one step farther. Accounts may now include up to four members on the same MGM Mirage Player Club account. It does not matter if these account-sharers are relatives, friends or even comparative strangers. The only rule is that the primary account member and each older-than-21 person being added to the account must appear at the booth simultaneously to complete the paperwork. MGM Mirage Players Cards will be issued in each of the players' names, but direct mail offers will still go only to the primary account holder's address. Also, the primary account holder may remove any of the secondary names any time he or she chooses."

Looks as though it will eliminate some paperwork for the casino, but I haven't had a chance to think of some of the ramifications of the above. Do you really want your friends taking all your credits and getting all the good offers? wink Should prove interesting.

Something like this would work out for people like us that live here. My folks come to town from time to time but never play enough to get enough points on their own to get any decent comps. So we have extra cards in my name and my wife's name and they use them to give us the points.

Good point, Ralph! My bro and I have entirely different favorite casinos in Reno, and we often swap cards and build up points for each other when our paths cross there.

The funny one Daisy was the time when my Mom hit a Royal with one of my extra cards in the machine. They hand paid her and said congrats, RALPH, and chuckled. Dad was playing the machine next to her on another one of my extra cards and I was over on the crap table with my card. :p
