Hi everyone,

It's been awhile since I've posted on this board. But I've been here -lurking. Question- does anyone know of a place I can purchase an old time slot machine at a good price? i thought it would look great in my basement of my new house.

Thanks

Carrie

Carrie,

Don't know what would be considered a good price, but we have a local place called R & R Games. A friend has in the past purchased a home slot machine from them. PA has a law that only allows individual purchase of slot machines from certain years....offhand don't remember the exact years. We do not have legalized casinos here in PA. You might call for information and also check on VA's laws concerning slot machines. You might check in your area for something similar. If interested in calling for info., the number is 1-800-675-9999. They also have a website called rrgames.

Carrie.....Old time slot machines are not going to be a bargain. From some of the ones I have seen for sale around here the price tags could cause a mild stroke. The prices I've seen are in the four figure range, $2000-$3000 or more depending on the machine. Also if you put "legal slot machines" in a search engine you will come up with several websites with slot machines for sale.

The Gamblers general Store in Las Vegas is a great place to start looking. They know the laws for each state, and will ship your prize home too.
I agree with Ralph, the real old slots are very expencive. We looked into buying one a few years back. About the years that get a lot cheaper, PA laws restrict ownership, so we never got one.
Now I'm not recomending you do this...but, check neighboring states ownership laws, and have a freind in that state take delivery. Then drive and fetch it. As long as it's for personal use, the worst that happens in PA if they somehow find out is, they will take it as contraband. If you really want one that bad, it's a thought.

DAG,
I don't think that is something I'd purchase without seeing it in person first.
