At least 30 apartment homes under construction at Boulder Highway & Russell Road have burned to the ground. Both those roads are now closed to through traffic.

Larry, it was a real mess too. These where apartment houses so a lot of rental units where lost. All where in the final stages of preperation for sale. Some people aleady had a signed lease and had the electric turned on. This could have been much worse, if they had been rented. LasT I heard, no one was injured, and federal agents have been called in to find the sourse of the fire. Arsen hasn't been ruled out.

What was amazing about that fire is that we could see the flames from our house. We were eating at Applebee's at the time it started. This is the Applebee's that is just north of the I-215 by Green Valley Ranch Station. We walked out of the place at 8:40pm and we could see the tops of the flames that far away.

It made national news and even on the news, the fire seemed to be gigantic. It was amazing that no one was killed.
