Just got a call from a buddy who lives in SW Vegas. Said they got 3" of snow last night. He's gonna send me pictures of his pool & spa with all the snow around them.

He said it just rained East of the airport while he was at work. His wife called in a panick when she got up and saw the snow.

Do they live in an elevated area? When I was leaving Vegas a couple of weeks ago, I could see snow on the ground in higher elevations in the southwest. This was not in the mountians, just higher than the strip, near the base of the mountians. I could see it was heavier in the shade and melting away in the morning sun.

The snow was everywhere, I had 3-4 inches at my house this morning.

Heck, I'm going to move there anyway snow or no snow. I can put up with 1 day of snow every 10 years.

Ralph, I prayed to St. Urho, the Norwegian Snow God, to try and deposit some of the white stuff your way for a change.

Not being from Minnesota originally, I can't understand how anyone would have wanted to settle here. My theory is that the Vikings were so horny after being at sea for years, that they were willing to settly anywhere just for sex.

We'll anyways happy new year and get yourself a snow shovel, St Urho is coming.
