Talk about town is the number of unemployed casino workers in the near future as Burbon Street, Westward Ho, Imperial Palace, and now the Boardwalk head for the chopping block. The Boardwalk will add another 700 to that unemployment list.

The Boardwalk will vanish to make room for a 5 billion dollar MGM Mirage complex called City Center to be completed in 2009.

The Boardwalk is expected to close on Jan 9 of next year.
