The construction continues on the least recognized shopping mall in Las Vegas. I had a chance to visit last week and made some observations.

I kinda like that it's not crowded, but if it ever were to get crowded, where would you park? Personally, I have never seen the place empty, but I have never seen it crowded all they way around either. I guess business is so slow, that Ronn Lucas bailed out.

One huge improvement in the place is the floor. They are slowly taking out the rough cobblestone floor and putting in a flat gloss black tile. It is much easier to walk on. My guess is that it will b e stroller friendly too.

One of my favorite stores has finally closed. It had been going out of business for months. Now, the Discovery store has closed.

There are a lot more art stores. So if you want to pick up a $750,000 painting, this is your mall.

The big open circle inbetween the casino and the Aladdin Theater will soon be a big round bar...I think. It is currently roped off and covered, but I peeked in and it looks like a bar in the making.

And the outside? Don't get me started. It's still incomplete. By the time it's finished I don't think classy will be used to describe it. Classy has been used to describe the inside of Planet Hollywod, and they keep trying to screw that up with gaudy lighting. Classy might eventually be used for Miracle mile if they go with smooth black floors and white walls. My guess is the outside will be "busy gaud". I guess bad press is better than no press at all.
