   Star Trek Closing
After 10 long years of living, the Star Trek experience at the Las Vegas Hilton is not prospering. It is rumored to close at the end of this year. There is no word of what will happen to the space it currently occupies. There is no word if the experience will pop up again in town or somewhere else. We can only hope that it will "Get a life" somewhere. I did find where the LVA is reporting that CBS/Paramount has decided to not renew it's contract.

I suspect the issue is that it has been a decade since there was a successful Star Trek series on TV and years since the last movie, the concept just has not been recruiting new followers.
The total collapse of the American space program is probably contributing too.

I;ve been expecting this, and wondered why it took this long. they never updated the first attraction; the film used in the motion simulator at the end still shows Harrahs as the Showboat.

But it was still fun - and Cindy and I will be visiting there this month, for sure!
