This report was originally posted on another bulletin board however, I thought you guys might also enjoy it even though you won't recognize any of the names - that's okay - you can still take in the Vegas highlights.

Thanks for posting the report over here too.
I hope sometime you might meet up with a few of our gang here!

As for your report, we have somethings in common.
1. I seem to always get killed by the so called "locals" casinos.
2. Bingo & Lets make a deal slots stink
3. Think Summerlin is great looking, and the buffet amazing.
4. We always go out in Febuary using presidents day as an extra day too!

Thanks for posting it, and hoping maybe next time, we'll get the first posting and that other BB can get the reprint...LOL

MJ, I really enjoyed your report. Thanks for posting it. Hope you stick around and become a regular here. For pure Las Vegas info, this bb will give you more firsthand information than anything I have seen. It seems like you have a lot to contribute so I hope you will.
BTW, I'm from the Cleveland area and I'm an Indians fan. So if you are a Yankee fan forget about anything nice I just said about you<VBG>

No, John, my husband and I aren't Yankee fans. Worse - we're RED SOX fans and we're gonna tear Cleveland up in the playoffs just like we did last week!!!!!

Glad you enjoyed the report. I'll check the board from time to time to see what I can learn/add.

Good Luck!

OH NO!!! Not a Red Sox fan!!! Red Sox fans are better than Yankee fans, but not by much<G> You did "punk" us last week. Somehow I think we'll see each other in the playoffs.

Thanks for the terrific report, MJ. I won't be able to go to LV until next year, I fear, so I enjoyed your trip vicariously.

MJ: Thank you so much for posting your trip report. What a great one you wrote, and I really enjoyed it.

Let us know how you make out with American Airlines and getting back your $75 change fee. I'd like to think you will not have any hassles.

Sorry you lost for the trip. Next time!

MJ,

Thanks for the report. You really cramnmed a lot into your trip. NO wonder you lost track of days, you sure got around.

I've stayed at the Hard Rock a few times but never NYNY. Which do you prefer. Had you been to teh HR prior to the expansion? Do you like the change?

Hi Jeff - yes, I've been to both hotels several times and I must say as far as the hotel rooms themselves I cannot comment on the new section of HR as they put me in the old section (as they seem to do with most comped rooms). Naturally, the old section of HR doesn't come close to NYNY. NYNY, as probably most other hotels, have their bottom of the line rooms (basic - which are fine) and then several categories simply for a regular room (we're not talking suites). Each time I've stayed at NYNY I was given a different type "double" room. However, all rooms are spacious with all the usual amenities. The only problem is the ventilation in the Century Tower. The only problem at HR was the lack of sound proofing.

I would stay in both hotels again (if free of course). My goal is never to pay for a hotel room or a meal (other than my choice of new gourmet places where comps are impossible).

Thanks for reading. I can't wait to go back!
If I had my way, I'd move there next week but my husband doesn't care for it.

Good Luck!
