I will have to begin by saying this was probably one of the most profitable trips that we have ever taken to Vegas. The gambling gods were looking down on both Steve and I. This is a very unusual occurrence as we NEVER win together. This will be a long report as mine usually are, and since it has been almost a year since we had been to the great city, there were lots of new things to do.

Friday October 1
We departed Louisville on Delta at 6:10 A.M. My nephew who is a travel agent had found us tickets for $218 round trip. Have to watch the expenses now that we have a son in college. J Since we didn

Doye,

I was wondering what they do with all of the money that I leave in LV. Now I know. THey give it to people from KY. Congratulations on all the wins. It sounds like you were running a marathon with all of the places that you went to. Have you ever played BINGO at Sam's Town? If not, give it a try on your next trip. VP is pretty good there also. Don't take so much time between trips. It takes too long to catch up on the changes. Take care.

Doye, great report! Glad to hear of the wins! We left LV as you got there. My husband picked up that same cold there and now I have it. :-( (at least I got it at home and not there)

Doye,
It was nice to finally meet you in LV. I'm glad you had a winning trip. I know how hard it is to both win on any given trip. How did the rest of your group do?
Thanks for taking the time to post your report. Now don't be a stranger around here, and you must make more frequent trips to LV! We need more winning reports here! LOL

John- It was great to finally meet you and Joanne. Sure would like to read your trip report. Looked for you at the Golden Nugget, but never saw you. It's great to be home, but sure wish I could have stayed longer.

Fred - Let me assure you that people from KY loose more than we win. I told Steve that we just picked up the money that we left last time.

I have never tried the bingo at Sam's Town. We will have to give it a try. I really did like the payouts at AC's. I just hate that they messed with the bingo at the Horseshoe. This was always our favorite.

Lee - It sure was good to finally meet you and Sue. It sounds like you have turned Sandy into a LVaholic like I have done with my sister's.

It sure was great to win. That doesn't happen very often. Steve couldn't resist and headed to the boat last night. I stayed home as I am still sick. That's why I got my trip report that I promised you up so soon. I will try to stay more active on the board now. But tax school has begun, so I have to start that regiment again.

Besides my sister Carol, Steve and I were the only winner's. IT SURE WAS FUN.

Doye: Thank you for the trip report and for attending our Talk Vegas meet. Although I didn't have any cake, it looked delicious and was a nice gesture from you.

Congrats on your winning trip.

Doye,

Good to see you again and thanks for the report. Thanks for the cake also.

Congrats on leaving a winner. I've gotten sick several times in Vegas, it's not fun.

How do you compare the 4Q''s to MSS?

Doye,
Thanks for a great trip report. It was nice to finally meet you. Thanks also for the cake at Tommy Rocker's. It was delicious.
Congrats on the wins. That always make a trip even better. <vbg>
We usually take that Delta flight from Atlanta and I know what you mean about it being packed. I guess east coast people like going to Las Vegas. <vbg>

Doye, it was nice to meet you and thanks for the report.
Your mention of the chili/cheese dogs at Lums brought back memories. I used to love the place.
Glad you won some money and had a good time.

Jeff - The stay at the 4Q's wasn't bad. We really even liked somethings better. The water pressure was great, the rooms were nicer than MSS, except for the bathroom. The sink, mirror and toilet were not separated which is hell when two people are trying to get ready. The service was great. Our rooms were made up very efficiently each morning.

I really liked staying out on Fremont Street better. We played some serious VP at the bar by the street, and the bartender's were great.

Most dealer's that could speak english were very friendly.

I also liked how the desk clerk indicated she would check my play for me since I was in a rush. The slot host had told us it is based on your play from the previous trip and since we didn't visit the previous trip, I didn't check with a host. I will see if any adjustments are made.

All in all, enjoyed the stay. The casino could use some sprucing up, but the rooms were fine.

Hey Bingo buddy!

Gret TR! I'm so glad you came home a winner! I keep hoping that I'll have a chance to come down in October when you are there but it is such a busy time for me! Well, maybe next year?

Doye, thanks for posting a very interesting trip report. It's awful to get sick on a vacation, but you sound like a real trooper carrying on the way you did. I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to see you this visit, but we had to go out of town due to our youngest daughter's health problems. Maybe next time. I still remember the delicious birthday cake you brought to the Green Shack. That was such a nice gesture.
Terrific bringing home the $$$$$$, although you realize that is what pays our taxes. Oh well, better in your pockets than their (the casino's) pockets.
Again, thank you for sharing your trip with us.

Trina - Sorry you didn't make the meet. We are really going to get together one of these days to play bingo. The pickings are getting slim though. I was really disappointed that the Horseshoe screwed with their bingo. It was alway my favorite.

Until we meet.

Blossom - It is so good to hear from you. Sure have missed seeing you and Gladys these last few trips.

I still haven't gotten over my cold and it stinks. Probably from lack of sleep last week.

I will admit, Lucky's does a great job on the cakes. It's the whipped cream icing that makes them so good. They also do a great job of decorating them.

Hope everything is ok with your daughter. Sure wish you and Hal could have been at the meet. Maybe next time.

Thanks for reading my report.

Doye, Thanks for the trip report. And I am so glad you made it to Tommy Rockers.

And I don't usually eat cake because I get all my sugar from my beer <g>. But that cake looked so beautiful, I just had to have some. And it was *really* good. I hope this "cake thing" is going to be an annual thing <g>.

Glad you had a profitable trip. See you next year if not before.
