<s>
It was a great report, Thank you for finding the time to er...a...ah...dictate it to your daughter! <S> Christina Thank you too!

I know I'm going to miss all these reports when they stop coming in so frequently.

John, Silverado...is that the old BoomTown? For some reason, I'm drawing a blank on that place.

Lee, I think my one finger can handle the replies . One thing I forgot to mention in the T/R was what a PIT terminal #4 at JFK is. It is one of the international terms and is scheduled to be refurbished or replaced. (Not a moment too soon) Yes Silverado is the

John,

Thanks for the report. Itw as great seeing you again. I thing the confusion on the Silverado is because it's the Silverton . We visited some friends at the RV park there a couple eyars ago. The did have some pretty nice rigs there.

One of my best friends stays at teh GN. He went one day after I got back (should that tell me something?) He really likes it.

John & Jeff,
To be perfectly honest, if it would have been called silverton, I would have asked the same question.
The last time we traveled out that way it was still called BoomTown. I was not impressed. Have they spent any $$$ to fix the place up since the name change?

John,

Thanks for the trip report. Typing with one finger is a real challenge, I know. However, in a pinch I will use two fingers. We agree that regardless of the outcome in the gambling area, the opportunity to meet old and new friends makes a trip most enjoyable. Hope to see you in the future. Tell Joann we said hello.

Lee, Judging from what I could see, not a dime has gone into improvements since changing owners. Boom Town was one of the first places we went after our first car rental many years ago, I guess we have some sort of sentimental attachment to the place. The coffee shop is good and the dealers are friendly (they don

Nice trip report. I'm surprised to hear that the casino at the Rio was not busy. On my last several trips, I've noticed it to be the busiest of any casino I go to.

John,
Thanks for a great trip report. It was nice to finally meet you and Joanne. Glad to hear you were able to get the first class upgrade going home. How did Joanne compare the service in coach versus first class?
Michael and I went to the Bellagio brunch buffet in April and thought it was good, as buffets go. Are they still serving champagne? We weren't offered any, but saw other people with it, so we asked and were told that it was included with the price of the buffet on the weekends. We were told that is why the price is higher on the weekends.

John,
I still drive down to the Silverton occasionally for breakfast or a late night breakfast. I think the food is good in the coffee shop. Ever had the Strawberry Tall Cake? It's sure not gourmet but if you're hungry .
I had forgotten about their dealers keeping their own tips.

Gregg, Thanks for reading my T/R! What really caught my attention was that there was not one person in line at the Village Seafood Buffet.

Lee Ann, Thanks for the kind words. A glass of Champagne was placed at each place setting before we were seated at the brunch. Joanne, her sister, and brother in law all were very pleased with the service and the meal in coach. If I am not mistaken the onlt difference is there is no choice of entree in coach. BIG change from the America-West snack sack!

John Sr.: Wonderful report! Great job getting Christina to type it too.

Nice to see you and Joanne again, as always. And so glad you enjoyed the Golden Nugget, even though the Strip-view is a hike. Mirage Resorts does a good job of training their employees.

Sorry to hear about your description of contibuting to the MSS and GN

John, it's nice to hear someone made it to Oktoberfest; I saw signs about 20-something types of German beer at Sam's, but I never heard any German music while I was there.

What did you think of the Orleans coffee shop? I haven't eaten there for a couple of years; it was "ok" at the time...just never felt the urge to go back with good choices like Don Miguel's and Vito's so close<g>.

John, thanks for the report. I noticed that the Rio was a lot less crowded on my past trip. Friends of mine that work there said they have lost a lot of business in the last 2 years and most of it was longtime customers who moved to other properties.
Glad you had a good time and it was good to see you guys again.
It sounds like you were satisfied with the National Air service. Since they are packaging the air travel with a stay at the Rio it seems to be a good deal.
