Doug,
I just spoke to my brother-in-law and he said that he always parks at Thrifty Car Rental at the Kansas City airport. He pays about $4 to $4.50 per day to park there. You just use their shuttles to get you back and forth to the terminal.

Thanks Lee Ann,
We are flying out of Kansas City to Denver next week to see Shelley's Dad. I'll give them a try.
We have three more flights out of KC this year for a total of 16 days. At a savings of $10/day that makes for a nice new piece of luggage. Maybe I can talk Shelley into seperate bags and she can carry her own? Might make for less packing per trip.

Veronica,
Dropped Fern a note telling her she's overdue to say hi. Maybe she'll drop in soon.

Doug,
Does Shelley belong to the Veronica/Lee Ann
school of packing? This means that you take every piece of clothing that you own with you and then make your husband carry the bags. LOL That's why Walt (Veronica's husband) always says that the two of us can't fly on the same plane. It would be too heavy to get off the ground. (With luggage of course.)

Glad you can use the airport parking info. Tom, (my brother-in-law) said that there is also a long term parking lot that is about $5-$6 per day, but he uses Thrify since it's a little cheaper and is basically the same distance from the terminal. He said it's easy to just hop the Thrifty shuttle back and forth to the terminal, just as if you were renting a car.

Let's just say that Shelley would have made a great boy scout. When it comes to Weather, she's always prepared. She has to take at least 2 sets of close in case the weather changes. So for a 7 night stay she usually has at least 14 changes of clothes. Of course there's evening wear as well if we intend to go someplace nice.
Come to think of it, I thought those jet engines sounded like they were a little under stress.

Doug,
Yes, Shelley would fit right in with Veronica and me. <vbg> She's welcome to hang around with us anytime.

To see pictures from Doug and Shelly's trip, go to the TalkVegas home page, click on Photo Trip Reports, and look for his Jan 2000 trip report link.
