Joan, Thanks for posting your report. It was interesting reading. You seem to have really made the rounds, and since it didn't cost you an arm and a leg, you must be ready to set up another trip, right?

Thanks Dick and Tom for the replies and yes, as a matter of fact, going out the 1st of April. Tried something new with the T.R. Typed off line and then transfered. Much easier.

Hi Joan....nice to see you here! It sounds like you & Sherry had a great time and really moved around a lot. Your description of that blackjack dealer had me laughing; isn't it amazing what we'll put up with when we're winning<g>. That was a really nice run at the Excalibur...WTG!

Really enjoyed your trip report. Congratulations on coming home with more money than you took. It's a great feeling, isn't it? Appreciate the info on Harrah's as compared to Treasure Island. I've never stayed anyplace other than TI but have some friends who would like me to try Harrah's sometime. Pretty sure I wouldn't like it as well. I agree, the coffee shop at TI is very good.

Welcome to TALKVEGAS and hope that you will feel at home here. Thanks for the trip report. We too, prefer to each have an aisle seat when flying. It's a long 5+ hours when you are caught in the middle or up against the window. Could the raised limits on the table games be because it was the weekend? I don't know. It sounds like you are a very disciplined gambler and really moved around the town. Our favorite gambling place on the strip is the Barbary Coast and we have had some luck with those VP machines along the wall. Hope to meet you sometime in the future.

Fred

Hi Daisy, love your name. Thanks for replying. We really have so much fun and my group is going out in April. They are the ones that were with me the time I was playing blackjack in Treasure Island and I mean't to hand the pit boss my players card and handed him my room key instead, he said Oh is 11 p.m. o'kay. I turned all shades of red. They haven't let me live that one down. Thanks again.

Thanks Gregg and Fred for replying. Still waiting to hit that second Royal Flush. Year before last I hit one at O'Sheas for $1200. Wish I could do that everytime(don't we all). Week after we went out on MLT, the weather turned bad and the next Thursday flight had to wait till 10pm to take off cause plane was delayed. Glad that didn't happen to us. Leaving like we did at 3:45pm is late enough.

Joan,
Thanks for Posting a great report.
Sounds like you and your daughter had a terrific time togeather! We just returned from a LV trip (trip reports on the way) with our duaghter and son-in-law, and had a great time togeather.
I agree Harrah's has changed a great deal in the past couple of years. Some of it for the better, and some for the worse. Sue & I do very little gaming in thier, except for the VP at the sports bar.
So....whens the next trip?
Only back one day and I already am reading these trip reports for my Las vegas fix.....I'm in trouble, it's a while till I get to go again!

Joan, You guys had a great time and it comes through to people that read your report. Glad you did ok in the gambling dept. I had heard that the Sahara was installing a lot of low stakes tables. Along with the remodeling they may make a comeback since there are few low stakes tables on the strip.
Glad you found us at talkvegas and I hope you'll become a regular here.

Lee and John, thanks for the replies,I always feel my trip reports are not as good as the others but I love to read them so think its only fair to report my experiences.
By the way, does anyone know what happened to David Berman from the old *P* board?

Joan M,

D. Berman hasn't been around for awhile. He's probably on another site somewhere.

Great trip report. Was wondering what two in a bowl is?

Snookie, thanks for asking. Two in a bowl is one bowl of soup with two different soups in each half. No divider but they stay separated. Not sure how they do this, unless they place a divider in the middle and then pull it out before serving. I usually get potato and tortilla. It is really good.
