Just back from LV last night, stayed at Bellagio, everything was perfect, you feel like a princess when you stay there. Lost a lot, me on $1. slots, husband on blackjack. Finally on last day my husband came through & we were able to recover somewhat. We were down big time.
I did win a 1500.00 jackpot on the slots at Ballys, but had to give up 30% right there to USA govt.. All wins over 1200. by a Canadian must be taxed 30%...a little hard to swallow, but there is a way to get some or all of it back I understand, I've had this happen on other trips, & haven't filed claims for it, this time, think I will.
Bellagio is still #1 in my books, they picked up room, bev. & food... although, the slots seem tight.

Kui,
Glad to hear you rallied at the end of your trip. Sure wish you could have made the TalkVegas meet at Main Street Station on the 22nd of April. I like meeting as many people from this BB as possible.
Thanks for the update of the outcome of your trip, now how about the food????
Eat anywhere exciting? Or any place so bad you'd never go back?

Thanks for posting. Bellagio sounds great. I hope you are able to recover some of the 30% withholding on your win. It's worth checking into.

Glad you recovered somewhat and did not get cleaned out. That 30% tax really sucks. The gov't makes sure it gets it's money. They should make allowances for your losses. You could lose $5,000 and then hit a $1250 payout and they tax you even though you are losing.
Thanks for posting.
