Daisy,
Thanks for sharing your Las Vegas trip with us. I only hit those stinking 2's one time my whole trip! You where kicking butt & taking names!
Sorry we didn't get to chat much at the meet. It always seems like we ARE at differnt ends of the table at these meets. Maybe they are afraid to sit us togeather for fear of getting talkvegas meets banned at MSS?
I hated to leave LV knowing that your trip was just beginning.
So.....whens your next visit?

Enjoyed your trip report. I've never been to Sam's Town, but a lot of folks really like it and I've added it to my list of places to go on my next trip.

Hey Ms. Daisy,

Great report as usual! I don't get out to Sams Town enough so it's always nice to read about your experiences Glad you hit a few of them deuces!

Lee, it was great seeing you again....and at least we did get a chance to share stories of our experiences along the Boulder Highway. I've got a new dive, er, place, to check out on the next trip....have you ever been in the Klondike? My next "scheduled" trip will be Sept/Oct, but you just never know when I might sneak into town. Gregg, I have a feeling that Caesars won't be sending me any more offers, so I will probably be splitting my time between the Orleans and Sam's ....both of them have good gambling conditions & good food. The Orleans is ahead right now with its showroom and movie theatre, but Sam's is catching up with its current remodeling. I love to visit the glitter on the strip, but I really like staying & gambling elsewhere.

Hey, Trina! Don't sing me those sad songs ...we both know you coulda stayed at Sam's last week<vbg>. You would REALLY want to join me next week if I succeed in snagging tix for Richard Chamberlain in The Sound of Music.

Postscript to all....Kevin really got in right about the employee attitudes at the Sahara! I don't think I have ever before been signed up for a slot club without a word being spoken. I was about second in line, had my form filled out & ID ready ... the guy took the form, motioned for my ID, typed for a few minutes, shoved the card, cap & magnet across the counter to me ...he never said one word, never even looked up to make eye contact ....I said "thank you" just to see if I could get a response. No dice<g>.

Daisy,
Which one?
I understand there is 2 of them now?
One on the strip (been to that one, will never go back)
And one out near boulder hwy. I beleive it was recently bought and all that changed was the sign and some of the limits?
We should go casino slumming togeather sometime! Maybe if we took a couple of the J's along we'd be safe...er....maybe that get us beat up too, if they wear those fruit hats! LOL

Daisy,

Thanks for the trip report. It's good to see that someone else likes Sam's Town as much as we do. We get the most bang for the buck there and in the past the two of us each hit a natural royal. It was on different trips and we both hit on our first day there. We hope to try the Orleans in the future.

We do miss staying on the strip and plan to spend a few days there on a future trip. As to where, we haven't agreed to just yet.

Daisy, your report and the format are winners. Nice job and way to go with the deuces!!! You're casino slumming had Lee's name written all over it. I knew he'd pick up on that. Don't muzzle in on his turf<G>
We'll have to keep an eye on Caesars vp. There are no quarter full pay jacks machine and only 2 banks of dollar ones. If they are down to one bank of full pay bonus poker now there seems to be a trend in the wrong direction.
Glad you had fun and hope to see you this year.

Daisy!

Richard Chamberlain? BIG Sigh.... I just missed seeing him in Seattle... it was between Sound of Music or Phantom and I chose the latter. I would love to see him with you! I start my new job next week though I don't think I'll be getting much vacation right now!

Lee, it was the Klondike on south LV Blvd that I saw on my way back to Alamo ...I would definitely want you & the Js to escort me in there, but I'm not too sure about those fruit hats.

Fred, I have an offer for the Barbary Coast that's burning a hole in my pocket, and that might become my new "home" on the strip. Another possibility is the Orleans, that shuttle every 20 minutes makes it almost like staying on the strip. Harrah's is a third choice since I might build up some Tahoe/Reno brownie points with them.

John, my guess is that I only got up to 40-50 points on this stay at Caesars...It wasn't that I didn't do ok on those bonus machines, I just got BORED! I will do parts of that Boulder Hwy trek again ...the Rainbow Club in Henderson is evidently a Peppermill property, so I want to go back and try the food there....and I did like the Skyline Casino.

Keep looking over your shoulder in Las Vegas, I just might sneak into town<g>.

Trina, I did get to the Sound of Music, and found one of those dratted "white slips" in my program, informing me that Richard Chamberlain would not be in the performance ...so we watched his understudy perform very nicely and still enjoyed the show immensely. Daisy,

Glad to hear you liked the show! I'd hate to have to be RC's understudy! That would be tough! The show is really special to me. I was lucky enough to play Maria a couple of years ago and it is still one of my all time favorites!

BTW, I am still trying to figure out when I can come to town... I'm in the middle of trying to move and start the new job so life is hectic! I'll need another vacation by the time I'm settled!

Daisy,
Thanks for the great erport. I'd love to accompany you on a Boulder highway exploring mission sometime.

Sam't Town must be one of those places you have to stay at to really get to know. I've visited many times and just seem to find it a big confusing layout.

Wish I could have made it out last month with ya'll!

Senator, I wish you'd been along on that expedition....maybe we can check out the food at Peppermill's Rainbow Club some time? In fact, I'd probably even go into the Roadhouse if I had a "J" escort<vbg>.

Good point about Sam's Town....I've been going there so much the last couple of years that I had forgotten my original difficulty finding my way around the place.

Daisy,
Do you really think the RoadHouse is ready for the J's?
Somehow I see a vision of broken pool cue sticks, and busted bar stools. Probably all done over my head. That sure looked like a rough crowd going inside when I passed the place!
