wife and i took advantage of a sw air deal of 2 nites mid-week at ti-210 bucks total for two 440 with taxes.so i either flew cheap or slept cheap.hit town about 9am and went to paris buffet for breakfast a bargain for 10.50 the food is fantastic.no waiting for check-in and down to the casino for some gambling.dinner at il fornio ny ny--dont waste your time! should be spelled--ill fornio.wed. lunch at the venetian food court good and dinner at shintaros bellagio top notch thanks to ? who recomended this place. thur. lunch at the palm ceasars-what great food and what a bargain 14 bucks.insert gambling in between all the eating!!met larry and daisy at the garden bar for our tv meet great to put faces with names,good news--daisy shows up with a gallon of quarters she took out of the bartop--bad news--nobody heard of lee the legend dies! i thought he owned that bar!! agreat time was had by all. and off to the airport-back to seattle.the good-- bad-- ugly of the trip--the good-went with 2k came back with 1.7k and for me thats winning-added the palm and paris breakfast buffet to my must do each trip list the paris buffet is outstanding will win over the anti buffet crowd the temp at 114 means the ladies dont wear much insert oink here. the bad--i take back all the comments ive made about no kids at ti--FREAKING KIDS EVERWHERE.can i say that? the ugly--the temp.114 a touch to hot for me and i will never go to vegas when school is out period!!! a great trip but to short--met some great people from this board and i will be back for a week at thanksgiving time

Paris buffet will win me over???? OK, on your recomendation, I will make Paris Buffet my only buffet in September and give it a try. While I hate buffets, we always seem to stop at atleast one, so it might as well be one that comes highly recomended.
Don'tcha just love that hot weather and the skimpy clothing? Best place to sit & play is right by the doors to the casino....those girls sometimes get a chill as they enter the cold casino....And oh how I hate that! Oink Oink! <VBG>

Our second experience with too many kids in LV was either the week before or after Easter during April. We, too, were at T.I. and also stated that we would never return at that time again.

The first time was at Excalibur during June. That month also was on our "better not visit" calendar.

Glad you got to meet some talkvegas members.

Wish I had the stamina to go from the East Coast to LV for a 2-night stay. We would sure take advantage of some of those 2 & 3 day offers. Don't like spending all my time in the air.

Lee,the deal was in our local seattle paper and was a mirage resorts vacation but i booked it thru my travel agent and came in 10 bucks cheaper.i always get a great deal booking thru an agent.tg trip--5 nites ti with air--680 for two hard to beat that price.i know we were 15 hours early from your hang time at the garden bar,just had to pull your chain a bit.the palm is outstanding,watch a guy eat his 14 dollar hamburger while im eating a 14 dollar 10oz filet.do the breakfast buffet at paris for 10 bucks it is also outstanding

You and Lee are disgusting with your comments about the poor innocent females trying to stay cool (hehehe). Actually the best spot is near the resorts that have misters to cool you off.

I've never gotten around to the lunch special at the Palm but you're about the 10th person who has highly recommended it.

Well, today I'm going to give my travel agent a call and see if she can come up with anything for October, because I just about exausted any internet options and the Sunday paper here was a big fat zero.
I really can't call her my travel agent though, I haven't used a travel agent to book travel in several years. I wonder if she still works there? <S>

The travel agent is going to get back to me. She told me October is a busy month (I already knew that) The weather is about a perfect as Vegas gets!
I did the IP for quite a few years late 80's, early 90's so I can't talk too loud out of school here on the place. If they would come out with a killer rate, I could be tempted for a couple of nights to give it one more try. I wouldn't say no to it! After all, the IP still has a killer location for the price.

DAG, thanks for the report. We agree on some things, like lunch at the Palm being great, too many kids can spoil my trip, there are benefits to high temps<G>.
I will try the Paris buffet. Everyone raves about it.
If I could go with 2K and return with 1.7K I would consider that a win also. Glad you had fun. OH, by the way, Daisy ALWAYS wins and you constantly see her carrying around huge buckets of money.
