Day 4: Day 4 was met with a quick dip in the Orleans hot tub followed by meeting Daisy and crew for a quick jaunt over to the Gold Coast for breakfast (buffet of course). Their buffet is quite similar to that of the Orleans (both being Coast resorts). After a great breakfast, we all hopped in the General Lee for a desert drive to the Valley of Fire - located about 50 miles north of Las Vegas. The "Valley of Fire" is a unique formation of "almost" red earth containing minerals that when struck by the sun, appear to be on file. A beautiful and unique drive conducted by Daisy tours to include Jason and Keith. (Please convey the following message to Keith: "Aim high" - Go Air Force). On the way back into town, we made a quick stop to check out "The Loose Caboose" as a possible candidate for Novembers meet. This place is not for Talk Vegas. The boys adjourned at the RIO for a quick swim while Maxine, Daisy, and I proceeded to the Mardi Gras bar in the Orleans for a quick cocktail while Daisy hit 4 tens (VP). Daisy departed only for her and the boys to re-join us at Anna Bellas for a nice italian dinner. Lee and Sharon were there to give us a total of 7 for dinner. Food was great - company and chit chat even better until we went our separate ways. Lee, Sharon, Maxine, and I ventured over to the Peppermill for a night cap. This is really a neat place for a night cap - complete with burning fireplaces, formally dressed cocktail waitresses, set in a setting of artifical floweres and unique boothes. After cocktails. Lee and Sharon graciously drove us back to the Orleans and we parted ways until November. Day 5 follows.
