   Texas Duo Report-Day 5/6
   Texas Duo Report-Day 5/6
DAY 5/6: Day 5 began with the hot tub ritual, however; this was primarily a kickback and relax day. Having said very little about gambling, I will say it now- Day 3 paid me $60 on slots at the Orleans and so on day 5, I managed to locate the same machine (that was presently occupied by 2 Asian gents) who seemed not to engrossed in what they were doing-so I laid back on another machine until they departed, then slipped in real quick with a ten dollar bill and hit it for $240.00 - The bottom line is that I left Vegas with aprx $300.00 profit which was the first time to depart ahead of the game. We ventured over to the Gold Coast that evening to catch "Serendipity" (the show that replaced Honky Tonk Angels). IMHO, they should have kept Honky Tonk Angels and scrapped "Serendipity". I probably will not see that one again. Day 6 revolved around packing, breakfast, and off the airport. No hot tub this am - did not want to pack a wet swim suit. The flight home was smooth and uneventful- we took our own sandwiches on board to supplement our peanuts (for only 2 hours-who cares) All and all, it was another fun trip with lots of activity and meetings with some of our favorite people (thanks Daisy, Lee, Sharon, and Jason & Keith) See you guys in November. THE END. Wendell & Maxine smile

Wendell,
That "Serendipity" show doesn't even have the appeal of the Honky Tonk Angels. to me. Thanks for trying it, and I'm sure you did the meal & show combo?
A $300 profit on a Vegas trip is pretty darn good.
It was so nice seeing you both again. Enjoyed the Peppermill visit as well as dinner! Hopefully we'll see you before November!!!

Wendell,

Thanks for the great report. It amazes me the way you get around without a rental car.

Wish we could have joined the gang. Am planning on seeing you in November!

Senator: It really isn't too difficult to get around w/o an auto as long as you are within Vegas and/or Clark county. Using a combo of shuttle buses, taxis, city buses, and monorails (when they are operating) one can scoot around fairly easy, with no traffic and/or parking hassles. Glad to hear that you are going to be there in November - are you bringing Patti?? We may need line dancers, you know. eek Wendell

Hi Wendell,
It was fun to read your trip report, but you two and Daisy always make me tired.......almost as much as reading Lee's TR's! smile
We had dinner at the Pullman Grill last weekend, and I thought of you two........hope we cross paths again sometime soon.
Glad you had fun, and Hi to Maxine.
