We hadn't been out in the RV for quite a while, so we packed up the dogs, a bag of salad, and some quarters and headed for the Silverton RV park......which is now the Silverton KOA. It's a nice park, with full hookups, including phone, to each site. We also hadn't been to the Silverton Casino for about a year. It has really changed. Lots of full pay poker machines, nickel, quarter and dollar that I saw. They have new restaurants, too. The buffet is the same, which is okay. They have a neat new coffee shop, and a steak house, along with their deli. We liked the coffee shop, enjoyed the buffet because, amazingly, we ran into some friends, and just checked the menu at the Steak House. It rained like crazy, but we had a great time. It was a good spot to go to get away from the "normal" places. It was fun to watch the news from the other end of town, and we even had Keno on the tv in the motor home.

Lee, you would have enjoyed going to the slot club when we did......noone in front of us, took about 30 seconds to get our replacement cards! Senator, that's good to know about the steakhouse.....we'll have to try it next time. Itch4, we always liked it, too, but they used to have a big room, like a warehouse, where they had shows and "fine dining". It was pretty ugly. Now it looks like a theatre, with a marqee, down by the deli, plus the really nice new coffee shop, and the steak house maybe where the coffee shop was.........my mind is faddddddiiiiiiing..... We didn't play any table games this time, but they looked pretty popular, so I'm guessing they were rather lower stakes. The RV park was full, as was the Oasis park across the interstate, but not many kids, so I guess it wasn't family vacationers there....
