Will800,
I waited on Col. Sanders in a restaurant one time about 33 years ago. They were opening a KFC in my home town and he was there for that. Was really nervous but he and his wife were very nice and left me a good tip.

I've eaten at the Rosewood grill!
Over priced, as you would expect.
Our table and 2 others where the only ones being used during our entire meal.
Things I remember
$6 for a glass of ginger ale
$7 for a baked potato (not football sized either)
$13 for 5 steamed asparagas spears.

The only thing truely memorable about the meal was the bill at the end.
No one in our party orderd the lobster, so I have no clue as to the price per pound.
Oh one other thing I remember from that night, the other female in our group anounced that my wife looked like a street walker! We haven't spoken to them since!

Lee-PA,
I have always heard bad stories about Rosewood Grille. Never good ones.I think that lady was jealous because your wife looked really nice and she didnt.

Will>>In fact the last time I ever saw anyone in a place named after him was many years ago in Binions, when good old Mr. Binion was passing rolls of nickles to his customers playing the slot machines.

I'm afraid that sacred and ancient custom of greeting your customers personally has gone the way of the Hula-Hoop.<<

The only thing that comes close to this is that Mr. Jackie Gaughan still personally walks Fremont Street passing out his coupon books. Came to my place the other day. I give him credit for doing this.

Now I have to check out the new coupon books to see if he still has that free breakfast in there <s>.

I give him (or his PR) credit for this to. He gives tons of these coupon books to business owners. Most of the business owners end up giving the free breakfast coupon (and the books) to the "real" street people. Mr. Gaughan (and his PR) *must* know that they are feeding the street people one meal a day. I know that the El Cortez is still making money off the street people. But what other hotel/casino (or owner) does this?

Snookie,
That's exactly what happened. I also think the other couple we where with, where out of thier leage at the Rosewood, and when I mentioned that the prices where going to be high, they didn't expect them to be THAT HIGH! LOL
I know they gave me a dirty look when I orderd cocktails at those prices! They drank ginger ale and had a fit about the $6 price tag. I can only imagine what a mixed drink cost me.
Would I ever go back, NO.
Did I have a nice meal, Yes.
Will I ever talk to our dinner conpanions, not if I know what's good for me <VBG>.
