I didn't run into the same problem as you oneboater, but Laughlin isn't Vegas. If you go there expecting a smaller scale Vegas, it's a big let down. I know! LOL I kept wondering, why did I ride across the desert to see this. But in reality, it's still better then Atlantic City....by a mile! If you really want a bad experiance gambling, try AC on a weekend after the day trippin bus riders show up....it ain't pretty. I waited in line to play a machine one time in AC, and I swore, never again. Then I go down to Delaware and they are waiting in line there too.....There is no place like Vegas, Baby!

You sure got it right about AC, Lee. Each time we go we say "never again" then we are heading back up there a couple months later. But the clientele leaves much to be desired...

About the Ramada in Laughlin - we really enjoyed playing VP at the lounge bar there. The lounge acts seemed very good, but honestly, after a couple of drinks they all seem to be good.

The Ramada has one great feature - an adults only hotel tower. Tried to book it one time and it was sold out months in advance. Those blue haired visitors speak loudly without saying a word. I wish more hotels would offer this feature, especially in Vegas.
