Mike, it's so nice to hear you like reading about my losses<g> ....add 3 football bets to the list.

Oops, add in two more parlays too!
I sure hope we can discuss some wins in Nov.
Fred, I drove by several interesting places<g>, but I was just too tired to go snooping. Maybe you & Beth can help me in November? I always enjoy Sam's Town; I even figured out a way to exercise there ...put those long hallways to good use<g>.
Bob, I just try to pick a car I haven't driven before<g> ...but I'm also getting wiser as I get older ...I head out to the intermediate aisle to snoop through the choices BEFORE I go in to do the rental paperwork. If there's nothing that appeals to me, then I give it another try after the paperwork. As for the gambling, my biggest win came from smooching a frog down in Laughlin; I never could get ahead at VP.

I hope you're going to be a Wendell's meet!
Senator, thanks for reminding me about a couple of things I left out<g>. We spent two nights down in Laughlin at the Flamingo. We kept busy rambling between the Colorado Belle, Edgewater, Riverside and Harrah's, but it still seemed like one night too many for both of us.
LOL, the $1.00 charge at Sam's is automatic ... and I wish you could have heard the guy holding up the check-in line arguing about it! The rest of us were starting to mumble about taking up a collection for him<g>.
I've never priced National, but I do play games with Alamo ...their prices start out ridiculous, then they figure out they aren't renting cars and they lower the price about 2-4 weeks before the date. I like the speed of the pick-up, and I also like the location that allows me to miss the airport congestion.
Wendell, if you keep referring to San Francisco as "Frisco" ...I will keep referring to the Raiders as the "49er Geriatrics."

BTW, I've already started my diet so I'll be REALLY hungry in November. :p
JMT, move to California ... you can vote on almost anything here<vbg>. I loved the guy that held up a "Garcia for Governor" sign during the 49er game.

I'm sorry about the lack of Escapades, but I was just too tired to make any of my usual explorations, and I napped rather than writing notes or typing up daily reports. I'll try to do better in November.
Larry, since you like hearing about my WINS ... I did win one of my free football bets from my Sam's Town offer, and I did hit a progressive Wild Royal at the Reno Peppermill, but $50 wasn't enough to put me into the win column for the trip<g>. As for the naps, this was definitely the first time I drove directly to my hotel, checked in and went upstairs for a nap before even testing the waters downstairs. I think I need to tell my scheduler that I'm getting too darn old for 12-hour days at work.
