Will be @ Flamingo end of Sept./beginning of Oct. Have never been there this late in summer. Does anyone know if the pool is still open then. Heard they start closing them around this time. When they close, are the off limits, or does it mean no drink/ towel/chair service??

Carol,
Temps should be near 90 and good pool weather. My wife and I were out the end of September last year. My wife wanted a new bathing suit and found most places had very poor selection, said the season was over. Only in the desert would people think the swimming season was over becasue the temps were only hitting 90 !
Senator, I know one particular person who won't put even a toe in the pool unless it is over 90 degrees.

Carol: My husband and I go to Vegas almost every October to bowl in a tournament (strictly an excuse to go!) and always enjoy the pool in the afternoon. Temps are great during the day with evenings around 65-70. I usually wear a light sweather in the evenings and shorts during the day. Hope you have fun and be sure to report to us all upon your return!
***NOTE*** Sometimes if the weather is a little shakey in the morning, the Flamingo has a habit of calling it's employee's at the pool service bars and telling them to stay home, or come in and work some where else in the casino. They will close the pool services for inclement weather. Even if the sun comes out later and hits 100 degree's, once the desission is made, no bar service or snacks will be available except if you fetch them. If you do this, always instruct the bartender it's for the pool, he'll put it in plactic (no glass around the pool) and he seems to pour a little heavier for the inconvienance of it all. Oh...and don't forget the tip money! LOL
