Has anyone been to this place? The reason I ask is that they have a $20 matching slot play offer you can get through their web site at - oops, no web sites allowed to be posted - Anyway, I was wondering if the offer was worth the trip to North Las Vegas.

Mike,
I really couldn't say, I've never been there. But I wouldn't expect too much. The recent LVA touted the offer in this months issue too. But they have also been pushing heavily the Wild Wild West, and that ain't much either! IMO

Mike, is this Jerry's Silver Nugget or am I confusing 2 different places? If it is Jerry's, I haven't been there is a while but I think Gail has. It was always ok, but nothing special. A few years ago they had a good prime rib, but I don't know if they still do.
If it is Jerry's that you are refering to, I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. That area of Las Vegas isn't the best either.

John, Great minds think alike, and so do ours. (G) I first assumed this was the same as Jerry's Nugget but upon further investagation found out is was not. I've been to Jerry's but not to Mahoney's. However, they are both in North Las Vegas and I suspect I will find the same look and feel. I did receive one email that said it should be fine... in the daytime.

Mike, Then Mahoneys is a new one on me. Why not go there in the daytime and let us know what you think. You notice how I volunteered YOU to go and not me<G>
Lets see, one place is called Jerry's and one is called Mahoneys. If they were the same place they could be Jerry Mahoneys. Do you remember Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney?<G>
Sorry about that one<G>

Mahoney's Silver Nugget, 2140 Las Vegas Blvd., North, is mentioned in the Vegas Values Report 1/09/2000. I don't know anything about the place either. Their web site is not listed on the Talk Vegas casinos page, but they do have one. But then again, there aren't many businesses these days that don't have a web site, so I don't take it to mean much just because a web site exists.

Is the Silver Nugget the place that has the cosmic bowling? (Just asked my kids and they say, yes.) If so, my kids go there once in awhile- and, I'm not too thrilled about it when they go because of it's location and lots of kids (in and out) who look like they are in gangs.

However, I think that the Silver Nugget has thrown different cosmic bowling donations for local people in need. The waitress murdered at the Golden Gate???

I have never been there and would not want to judge the place. Because at one time, I had not been to Jerry's Nugget because of the location. And, I think JN is a very comfortable, clean, local, casino with good food in the coffee shop and lots of security in and out.

Gail, J & J Properties doesn't have it's own web page, but I'm thinking about making one. I'll have to get some pictures of slums to put on it<G>
