Renovations to the New York New York hotel/casino have been completed which include upgraded guest rooms, new areas for invited guests, and hotel suites expansion.
The renovations began last April and were completed as part of NYNY’s first major construction project since their opening 01/03/97.

Among the changes: new closet spaces and lighting that have been added to the casino's 21 Ziggurat suites. Upgrades include marble flooring in the bathrooms and black granite vanity sinks. Sixteen upper-floor rooms have been remodeled into four new penthouse suites, bringing the hotel's total to 12. Also, lighting and closet spaces have been expanded in each of the hotel's 228 deluxe rooms, which are upgrades from the casino's standard Skyline rooms. In the rooms, free-standing armoirs have replaced standard closets. There is also a new invited guest casino lounge and entrance, with marble and granite flooring and mahogany-accented reception areas.

The New York Slot Exchange has also been moved to the southwest end of the casino near the bell desk, and east of the Empire Bar, the keno and sports book have been moved and are now adjacent to each other.
