As we left the duo of Kes and Lou, we were just leaving the Hilton, on our way back to the IP for much needed (for me at least!) cold water on the face and perhaps more...

Ahem...leaving the IP, we went for my very first Strip Walk - heading due south. A very necessary stop for coffee at the coffee stand right inside the Trop, helped this reporter regain a little momentum, as I was heading for hour eighteen since waking up in a Jersey hotel. The main reason for heading south was, of course, for me to experience the wonderous Bellagio Fountain,certainly the favorite free show in town! After several 'preformances' -including most appropriately, Viva Las Vegas! Entering the B, we strolled through until Kes bought me some very intensely rich gelato from Cafe Gelato - YUM! While eating the fattening stuff, I introduced Kes to my version of people watching that I call Casting Director - simply put, you look at someone and try and figure out who (whom?) would play that person in movie/tv show..makes you look closely at people!!

After finishing the gelato, we strolled into the Bellagio casino....and I watched as Kes promptly hit them up for a few VP $$...no..I did not try...yet..


Strolling back north....Cindy said she wanted to buy me a drink - at the Carnival Court! Being in need of alcohol, I said, 'sure!' Very cool to see the stunt bartenders in person - had only ever seen them on TV...Sipping our drinks, listening to the house metal band thumping its way through its set (little did I know!), we wandered into Harrah's and had a great time singing along...and drinking along to the 'Dueling Piano Twins' and company...and then realizing that I was very close to hitting the 24 hour mark -something I cant ever remember doing! So I said the heck with it, and stayed there until the pianos quit, and I hit the amazing amazing feat of staying up for a whole day!!! Needless to say....I hit the sack and went...zzzzzzzzzzzz......and this was only Day One!!

Just in case anyone is confused, the coffee was inside the Flamingo. Easy to confuse with the Trop - both have a tropical theme.

Okay. Sister will stop correcting now.

Hey - i forgot about that little win at Bellagio (it was a quad something on BP) I think it made vp look EASY to Lou.

Flamingo...Trop.....whatever....I was putting ST:TE in the MGM,before I caught myself...

Yeah, walking all the way to the Trop should have invited more temptation than just the Bellagio.

Lou, did you see the Conservatory at the Bellagio? Also if you go a little past it, there is a pastry shop with some interesting selections. And they have a chocolate fountain that worth checking out.

Also, if you like bartenders that throw bottles around, this is the city for you. Personally, I've seen entirely too much unsanitary results from that practice. But if you like them, you don't have to look far.
