Treasure Island has been awarded the AAA Four Diamond Award. T.I. recently completed $65 million in upgrading to achieve the AAA goal.

Las Vegas has 7 hotels with the Four Diamond ranking, according to AAA. They include The Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio and Golden Nugget--all Mirage Resorts properties--plus the Desert Inn, Caesars Palace and the Las Vegas Hilton.

Called TI today and got a chatty operator, she said the rooms where redone in corals and tans.....do I hear a colective....YUCK?

She was a real pushy salesperson, insisting that 150 a nite was a great rate and it had the 4 dimond rating now and blah blah blah.

After that she went on to tell me I should be investing in Mirage properties stock. Gees louise, now a reservationist is giving stock tips! YIKES. Don't know what old Steve is putting in thier coffee, but this gal has had way too much of it.

Then goes on to tell me about the pirate battle, and al the effort that went into the design of it. Claimed Disney helped out on the project?

I finally hung up the phone, she was still talking.
