Sounds like a wonderful trip so far. I think the Redwood is a wonderful little place, with a great atmosphere for the price. I have however switched from Daves Bar on the second floor to the San Fransisco bar (big bar)on the main floor. There is a little more to look at there while sipping cocktails. That second floor bar has been dead the last couple of trips, and it's kinda lonely. Wondering if there was a crowd when you visited???
I hate buffets....but I got to tip my hat to Wynn, he does a better job of it. In fact IMHO the best in town!

For some strange reason United only flies Ted direct from O'Hare to Las Vegas. I would have thought that there would be enough first class business on this route to justify normal flights. Since I am a heavy frequent flyer on United, we automatically get seats in the more leg room section so going on Ted is not a problem.
We targeted Dave's because Ellen is into Mai Tai's and Dave's was supposed to have good ones. We can confirms this. Does the San Francisco bar make Mai Tai's? Actually we were hoping that the new Trader Vic's would be open at Planet Hollywood but it seems to be delayed. We are hoping that it will be like the old Trader Vic's like they had in the Palmer House in Chicago but are afraid it will be some new overpriced nightclub concept.

We were at Bally's the other day and went by Trader Vics. It must be almost open as it looks as if it is open. There is a patio overlooking the Strip and an inside area. We used to enjoy Trader Vics in Atlanta and San Francisco, and are looking forward to trying this one soon.........I hope.
Toby is a million miler on United and a few years ago they pulled all the United flights out of L.V. and just had Ted. He kept earning all those upgrades and couldn't use them........now he flies American and Southwest. I did notice recently, though, that there was a United flight or two in.............maybe JMT has noticed and will comment....Joe?
