That was a long first day. Do you still get that first day adrenaline rush?

Egg Works has a lot going for it. Sometimes I go and eat at the bar and watch the girls work and they do work very hard. It's also a great way to scope out the meals that come out of the kitchen which is like a live menu. Two of the "best looking" dishes are a spinach benedict? and a fruity granola type thing in a parfait glass.

Sams Town has been advertising a new winter show that includes snowflakes falling. Did you see that show?

Lena likes Chicago and if she can get a record deal going, I'm sure she will be back. It is not impossible to find such a gracious and personable entertainer. I think it's pretty rare though. I'm still in shock that she accepted the invitation.

That's 3 royals on the triple play in my book. Suppose you held an Ace and King and filled the royal on two of the three. That would be 2 royals, right? Just because you hold 5 cards shouldn't take away any glory. BTW, if the progressives were all under $1199, you wouldn't get a W2G (based on the combined total) would you? Did you have to hold the 5 cards or did the machine lock up after the deal?

KA is an amazing show. I can see how some people might try to follow a storyline, get lost, give up, and call it a hodgepodge, with some acts being exciting, and some boring. I guess most Cirque shows could go that way, especially if someone isn't in the right mood to start with. Somehow with KA, the storyline plays a bigger role than some other shows I've seen.

The financial end seems to have worked quite well. It sounds like a really good trip. Thanks for the exciting report.

Wow, Mike, Congratulations!!! What a FABULOUS run of luck....or skill!!! I can see we're going to have to spend more time at NYNY.........but then, maybe it only works for you. smile
It was nice meeting you after seeing you post so many times, and it's always interesting to hear about all the restaurants you and your friends try. Thanks for an exciting read!

LOL, it wasn't anything you said, Mike - I left with the intention of returning after chatting with friends, but those gambling gods were smiling, and I lost track of time.

WOW! Four W2Gs have to be some sort of record for a trip, and congrats on hitting your 13th, 14th and 15th Royal too! Can I borrow Jason as a good luck charm?

LOL, as usual, I managed to catch your report right after dinner, and I'm already hungry again. :p

Joe - Didn't see any snowflakes at Sam's Town. This show was the same one with the wolf, eagle, bear, fountains, and lasers. Maybe the snowflake show is a special one for Christmas that didn't start until after Thanksgiving. I really wanted to see the holiday lights at Ethel M's on this trip but they didn't start until Thanksgiving night.

When the royal was dealt to me, the machine held them for me right away and locked up. And I think that I would still have gotten a W2G if the royals were all under $1199 since the total of the jackpot would have been over $1200.

I'm still in shock over the luck I had. I'm also very grateful too!

Mike,

Thanks for the trip report. Congratulations on the royals. I think you must be the most skilled VP player on this board. How you can eat all of that food and still be able to walk from NYNY to TI is puzzling. It sounds like going home on Thursday was a wise move. Take care.

Wow - what a fantastic vp story! If you're going to be dealt a royal, on a triple play is the way to get it!

It was great seeing you at the meet, Mike.

Anyone reading this who has not been to a meet, please note that Mike hit that great jackpot right after attending Wendell's meet. Consider whether being in the company of all those good people was Mike's good luck charm, and make your own plans to attend!.

And Fred - about the eating and walking. We saw that there was significantly LESS of Mike this year than last year - so i'd guess that its because of the walking that he is able to do the eating.

(Congrats on THAT win too, Mike - or, rather, loss! You are an inspiration in many ways, vp and others)

Again....another Great trip & Report! All I can think of to say is WOW!!! Or better yet....Double WOW!!
Maybe we should just follow you around for a day inside NYNY, with a note pad! LOL Just remember those winning trips are fun, but they also make up for the times when the casino hands you your head! I just can never get anything going inside an MGM property. This past trip, we never set foot inside one! However we are still holding on to your treasure map of NYNY!
Nice seeing you again at the meet!
I agree with JMT, 13, 14 & 15th royal in my book! I wish I would have kept a running total of royals for my lifetime, but you know it took so long for the first one I was convinced I'd never see another one, when I got my first! LOL So I never figured the count to be over 3! LOL
You ate well, gambled well, and had a good time the whole way, I'd say this was one heck of a trip report! thanks for sharing!

Mike,

Once again I missed your great eating adventures, and this time by just a few days.

Yep, 13, 14, and 15. And, you've now had 4 royals dealt to you!

Sounds like the "Perfect Trip", from upgrade to the last VP hit.

It's a good think Justin's lucky for you cause I don't like him other than that.....2 trips to the gym (that I know of) and a fruit plate for breakfast. That's WAY too healthy for me. laugh

Wish I could have stuck around to see everyone.
