Daisy, You had a good trip! You ate well, you did ok at the machines, and we all got to share some time togeather. I mean what more can you ask for in a vacation??? Well.....maybe a royal or 3!
Thanks for taking the time to share and spread your trip report around! LOL So....When is your next visit to Vegas?????? Or AC for that matter?
My only complaint is this trip was too short, but my next Nevada trip is Reno on Friday<g>. I haven't even thought seriously about my next trip to Las Vegas; I've got to get through the holidays first. That lazy attitude might change rapidly if I get an offer for a VP tourney from Orleans.
I'd love to join you in AC in February, but Harrah's wants to scalp me for $169/night that weekend - I think NOT!
Kes, I haven't read the book yet, but it might make the trip to Reno with me<g>.
Daisy, Sharon & I both agree.....$169 is a bargin for a weekend night in AC, for guppies! <g> I've paid over 300 a night not too long ago! It's the difference between AC and LV. When you only have a few casinos vs Many! This brings up a very valid point of the status of your Harrahs membership. On this last trip, I had mentioned to Sharon about how Harrahs in LV has a lot of bad pay machines, but the hotel comps alone IMHO make up for what extra I'm loosing playing the bad pay tables. I'm in no way advocating altering your play for a better rate, I'm just offering some justification for us lowly Harrah's players. Just for fun, ask what New Years eve costs at Atlantic City? You think the hotel rates are high in Vegas!!!!
Ignorance is bliss sometimes<g> ... $169 might be a great guppy rate, but by the time I paid airfare and room charges, I would have blown my gambling budget before I set foot in the casino.
I really don't see my guppy status changing either. I plan to make a stab at it on some dollar 8/5 bonus poker machines in Reno, but it will take some serious luck to keep me playing there for the necessary 5-6 hours to move up to Platinum level - Diamond is outta sight<g>.
LOL, I had the same plan at Paris since rumor said there was 8/5 dollar bonus there, but I sure couldn't find it. Bally's was even worse. I was playing 8/5 quarter DDB which is bad enough, but the machines next to me were 6/5 DDB, and people were playing on both sides. ALL the machines in that row were 6/5 on JOB - that's not bad, that's insulting!
Daisy, was your carrier Alligent Air? I just booked a flight with them, if so....what can I expect? Besides already getting nicked $11 pp per flight for reserved seats, and $10 a bag for checked luggage....
Daisy you have till March 31 to get 4000 tier points for Platnium status at Harrahs. Ceasars LV has 9/5 double double bonus by the parking garage elevators (slant tops not all machines).
Yes, that was Allegiant, but it's only $2/bag to check luggage here - and $2 for a coke or that little bag of peanuts. IF I was flying across the country, it would be worth the $11 to reserve a seat, but it just seems obscene to add an 22-28% seat charge onto a $39 or $49 flight, especially since they assign seats when you check in. I've gotten my preferred aisle seat every time by just showing up 15 minutes ahead of the crowd, but I could put up with a lousy seat for 80 minutes<g>.
5 out of 5 on Caveman pays 215 times your bet. It quadruples if two of the eggs hatch and is multiplied by 10 if all three eggs hatch.
Yup, I was topless Sunday afternoon, Monday morning and afternoon and Tuesday morning - and did a special showing for the gang on rib night.
Platinum status of 4000 tier credits at Harrah's properties must be earned by December 3l, 2007. However, the card does not expire until March 31,2009 when you earn it by December 31, 2007. Once again, the following year's credits must be earned by December 31, 2008. If you happen to earn the needed tier credits for Platinum or Diamond during the year before December 31, they will issue the card immediately for the advantages offered.
Fred, Thanks for the correction! If we would have been smart we would have quit using Sharons card as soon as we hit Diamond and switched to my card, so I would also be at that level. But no one said I was smart! LOL Your correct, as of Jan, 1st we got to climb that teir point mountain again, for 2009. Just our of curisocity, do you have any idea what 7stars takes????

I think I've told you that a guy I play poker with has the 7 stars card, I've seen it.
They play a lot of $5 and $10 slots. And he gets KILLED on State income taxes since Ohio doesn't allow you to deduct gambling losses. It's pretty easy to hit for $1,200 plus on those machines.
That was a fun night at BJ - especially listening (enviously) to everyone else talk about hitting deuces. At least I hit deuces on a DDB machine in Reno -and 5/5 on Caveman again.
