Jeff - Wow, what a GREAT TR!! I'm GREEN with envy - stays at GVR, Palazzo, Red Rock AND Bette Midler! Those hotels are all places I'd like to stay at. Maybe I should change it up on a future trip - stay at different places. Hmmm....

One question - you have a host already at Palazzo? How did that happen so soon? Just curious.

Glad you liked Bette - I can't wait to see that show. And how nice of Sharon to get you such great seats!

It was interesting how you had so much trouble sleeping - you had very busy days. But at least you got a good night's sleep at RR.

Sorry to hear about all the snow in Columbus - Chicago was spared in this recent round of storms. I'm so ready for Spring to get here.

Thanks again for such a great TR!

Mike,

I opened a credit line and the next day got an email from a host introducing herself.

I couldn't figure out the sleeping problem either. That's not usually an issue for me. I know Saturday night I was worrying about my wife dealing with the snow.

Sometimes having a day full of activities gets my mind going so much I can't get to sleep.

Great, envy producing trip report, Jeff!

Senator,
Thanks for a great trip report! Enjoyed your company too. Sharon had trouble sleeping this trip as well. Me, I was just glad to find the pillow! One night even left her in the casino and I went to bed without her.
I find winning will keep your mind running. It's easier to sleep when your on a loosing streak! LOL
What the heck is Crazy 4 poker? I've seen the tables, but they usually don't have players or are closed????
I wish I would have played a little at the Palazzo, Sharon really liked the room! Thanks for the hospitality! I wish I would have paid more attention to the lime in my drink! It tasted fine, but I'm sure the lime carving was a work of art! LOL
Thank you for dinner at Makinos. I sort of felt bad, because I felt I was the only one who got thier moneys worth out of the deal. The reg food was ok, but not worth the price alone!
Also....I enjoyed your ice teas at the hoffbra-house, as much as you did! oink oink! Nice EYES too. LOL
So....whens your next trip planned????

Jeff - now that you mention it, I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago when I stayed at Mandalay Bay - I opened a credit line and a casino host contacted me. That's actually a very good idea!

JMT & Kes,

I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or really think I had full days. confused I felt I didn't do much at all this trip, and I really enjoyed it! The car never left valet at GVR from check-in to check-out.

Either way, thanks for the replys. smile

Lee,

Crazy 4 pokers has 3 bets. A bonus bet, a hand bet, and a bet against the dealer. You start with up to 3 bets if you play te bonus and can add towards the end. You're making your best 4 card poker hand out of yours and the common cards on the board. The table at RR was pretty active and most players seemed to be making money.

Yes, you should have played. I've already received a 3-night comp offer from them.

Is that what our waitress was wearing, a "hoffbra"? :p I was impressed with myself, I only had to get up once on the plane.

No other trips planned yet.

Lee, funny you should say that! I once wondered if anyone ever puts something on their hotel room door so they could find it after a successful night of attention from the bartender or cocktail waitress.

Something like a sticker or something on the doorknob.

If I decide its a good night for $5 video slot crap shoot, which only works in a place like IP with good cocktail waitress service. Put a $5 in a video slot, wait for the cw, play it down, move to the next machine in the row put in another 5, wait for the cw - repeat as desired. Guess its crap shoot because you don't know what will run out first, your bills, your capacity for the drinks, or your brain cells. ANYWAy after that kinda fun you either need an understanding spouse to help you remember the room number, or a sticker on the door.

DAG...I think you might be on to something here.
I sure could have used it a couple of times this trip...

Kes, a sticker or something sounds like a great idea, untill the point where you can't even get the floor your staying on correct!

Kes,

That's funny because I felt like I didn't do much of anything this trip. Maybe I just feel that I've got to be in the car going somewhere to be 'doing something'.

The first hotel was no problem remembering my room number for some reason. Palazzo was different story. The hotel halls are like a maze. Once I figured out that I was directly across th hall from the door to the ice machine, I was OK. RR's elevators are at one end of the tower and I was a bit past the half way point which was already quite a hike. I just keep the little envelope they give you your keys in in my back pocket.
