As the Roaring Twenties opened the Jazz Age in 1920, Thomas Young was busy opening up his new sign shop in Ogden, Utah. Good people at the little sign company quickly earned a "can do" reputation. Hand lettered signs on walls, windows, show cards and banners were all part of their repertoire. They became known for beautiful gold leaf and mother of pearl masterpieces.
During the Thirties, Young Electric Sign Company, now known as YESCO, helped introduce the Intermountain West to a new product from France. Neon! A new chapter in the company's history opened.
After World War II, YESCO took on a new challenge -- Las Vegas. With the sale of the city's first spectacular sign, the "Boulder Club", YESCO opened a manufacturing plant in what was to become the neon capital of the world. YESCO went on to design and produce many of the landmark signs Las Vegas is now known for.
