As a disclaimer, don't bet on accuracy. If you do research on Las Vegas history, you will find many instances of conflicting dates from reliable sources. The TalkVegas calendar designer considers this a crap shoot and takes a guess as to which date is accurate. This can only be positive, as it gives us all a chance to hash over our references, get involved in some interesting discussions, and maybe find out why there are conflicting dates.
Second disclaimer is that the calendar is under constant revision. The positive side is that you can contribute if you know of a special date in Las Vegas history with interesting notes, and have a valid reference. There has been an extra effort to attempt to give an interesting angle to each entry, rather than just the basics. Somtimes these angles are hard to find. Don't be shy to chime in.
