An article in today's LVRJ states that a lease starting July 1 was signed with the Neon Museum and the LV City Council. The lease covers about two-thirds of an acre located at Encanto Drive and McWilliams Avenue near Cashman Cetner for the temporary storage of neon signs. Eventually they hope to build a new Museum near this location.
Did you know that they say it takes up to $10,000 to restore one of these signs?
The original purpose of neon signs was to attract the motorists' attention. Today the architecture of the buildings seems to do the same job.
