I had heard that a "very expensive" housing project was to take place between the Hilton and Las Vegas blvd (if this area is considered north). Some construction was under way last July when we had to walk from the Hilton to Circus Circus to catch a taxi (someone forgot to tell the cab companies the Conway/Korman show was out and there were 4 taxis to accomodate a line a mile long. No one mentions the south end. Is it just me, or does anyone else think something big could happen at the Vacation Village site? The beltway is right there and if it was a destination spot, then others would follow and build north to Mandalay Bay.

CN,
My thought is VV is still too far out and away from other places to be anything other then a locals place. That being said, there are a great many really nice locals places, and I beleive that should be the direction of that property.

Wendell:

You are probably talking about Turnbery Place. I think I read that there would be three buildings of condos when it was finished. You are right, the prices were very expensive.
