Today is the 100th birthday of Las Vegas.

Celebrations have been going all year, with bigger events in past week. Last Saturday, there was a flyover of many airplanes over the strip. They had F-18s, WWII bombers, acrobatic planes, and everything inbetween.

Yesterday was the big Heldorado parade downtown. There has not been a Heldorado parade for the last several years.

Today peaks with a big party at Cashman Field which will include bands, flying Elvi, and the worlds largest birthday cake.

The largest birthday cake made the local papers, so it must be BIG!
JMT, did you attend the Heldorado Day celebrations? I can't help but think they wern't what they used to be, before the fremont Street experiance.

Our HOG chapter rode in the parade yesterday. Paul Revere (Paul Revere & The Raiders) rode his Harley with our group too. He is on his way to Washington D.C. for the annual Ride To The Wall that takes place over Memorial Day weekend.
