keep Tahoe clear

INCLINE VILLAGE -- After listening to a line ofCalifornia and Nevada officials pledge money and support, a scientist who has studied Lake Tahoe for most of his life said Wednesday the lake will be saved for posterity.

Gail, that article makes good sense and addresses several important issues, but it left out one proceedure that has already been implemented by CalTrans. Basically, the snow plowed during the winter will be kept away from the lake since the salt/sand content being pushed around by the winter snow-plowing was deemed to be potentially harmful to the lake environment.
