Well, I see that my husband drinking clouded his memories of the evening, so I guess it's up to me, to tell the full story of the evening. <vbg>
We had dinner at the Outback. The waitress noticed the "coalcracker" accent that Michael and I have, and assumed that we had never, ever been to a restaurant of any kind before, and were not able to read, so she recited the menu to us. Other than that, the food was average, but the company was great.
We headed over to karaoke night. We all sang along to the songs, to try to drown out some of the worst talent I have ever heard. <vbg> Beth told us about this song by Faith Hill called "Let's Go to Vegas." We found it in the karaoke book and we decided to ask the karaoke emcee to sing it for us. Fred was kind enough to give me a $10 bill to tip the emcee. I didn't want to ask him to play it, because I was afraid he was going to make ME sing it, and let me tell you, there isn't enough Tequiza in the world to make me get up there and sing.

When I didn't want to go ask the emcee, Sue came to my rescue and offered to ask him. She did have a difficult time asking him to sing because she had to get through a roadblock to get to him. There were two sisters, one 70 years young and the other 79 years young who were all over him all night. I'm sure this 30 something guy (who was pretty cute BTW) was in heaven to have these beauties by his side all night.

They kept going up to sing, just so they could be near him. They danced as they sang too, if you can believe that. V, if you thought Tim Rivers was bad, you haven't seen anything yet. Sue finally did manage to talk to him and he did sing for us.
Michael will tell you that he didn't sing, but don't you believe him. I went to the ladies' room (on the other side of the bar), and who's booming voice do I hear? Non other than Michael's. Don't let him tell you that it wasn't him, because after 22 years I know his voice. <vbg>
After Fred and Beth left, as Lee said there was a girl who sang with a big....voice. Michael and Lee both loved her, but Sue and I managed to keep them out of trouble, as usual. <vbg> Of course we were the last ones to leave the bar because we had such a great time.
Lee, I agree next time you should stay in suburban Allentown. Downtown is just not a nice place to be anymore. Glad your car was still there the next day.
And as they say, that's the truth!
