Just wondering what, if anything people are getting in the mail from Atlantic City?
I know lately I'm getting more "stuff" from LV then AC, has it tappered off for everyone from AC or is it just me, because I haven't been there in about 6 months?

The last mailing I got (about a week ago) was from the Claridge for a $15000 cash givaway. Junk mail in my book.
2 free show tickets from Resorts to see Jenny Burton? Whoever that is?

Hi Lee: Bally's sends the usual every month. Claridge sent some ticket for a drawing where you don't have to be present to win; however, you must GO TO the Claridge to deposit the ticket The Showboat has sent nothing for the fall, while during the summer months they sent reduced room-rate offers.

V,
Today's mail brought a Birthday card from Caesars, with a $20 off coupon on dinner.
This I might be able to use.

Lee,
Michael has been getting mailings from Bally's, but I haven't gotten anything from them, which is kind of strange because I play more than he does. We get regular mailings from the Taj, not that I intend to use them. We get mailings from the Showboat when we get our comp checks, and once in awhile get a bonus check from them. We used to get a newsletter thing from the Trop, but we haven't gotten it in awhile, even though we played there in June.

Lee Ann,
I swear, I'll never figure out how the differnt Casinos handle the mailings of goodies! I just noticed a dry spell of nothing good being sent my way. Now I know summer is high season, but now that we are staring down the barrel of October, I would expect to be receiving more stuff! Oh well, I'll survive! <S>

Today Michael got an offer from the Showboat for a free room any night in October. My offer was for Sunday through Thursday. Once again I played more than he did and he got a better offer than me. <g> He did play dollar slots for a short time. It seems like maybe that's what got him the better offer.

Once again Michael gets the room offers from Atlantic City. This is the third free room offer from Bally's for him, with no offers for me yet. Once again, I played more than he did and I got no offers. I'm starting to think that Atlantic City casinos don't like me. LOL

I tend to get something from Bally's every month, too, and that is where I concentrate my play. I also get some pretty poor offers from Sands every so often, along with some mediocre offers from Caesars.

MarkL,
This week Sue & I both received cash vouchers from Bally's Park Place. But I don't think we'll be able to use any of them. I just don't have the desire to go to AC.

Lee: Got mine too, but I usually use 1 of em <g>. I'm still getting the comped room notice sent every month from Bally's Park Place. How about you? Now they are even throwing in 2 free tickets to Legends In Concert with the room offer.

Is everyone still receving the room offers from AC hotels? I'm wondering if these will start to increase now that summer is over, although I still was getting an offer each of the summer months, but now they really need us now that it's slower there.

A couple of days ago Bally's sent an offer for Nov. 8 or Nov. 9 to attend a special event in their ballroom for dinner and dancing and a comped room. First time I've ever seen something like that. I must be losing too much!

Well V,
A.C. does like loosers! And gosh knows, they produce a lot of them! <S>
I'm not receiving any room offers at this time other then discounts, so I guess, I didn't loose as much as you did! <s>
I got discounted room offers from the trop.

Last week we received an offer from Harrahs for $29/night and free show tickets for November. Haven't been in the casino since our meet with everyone in February. Was that last year?

Beth,
November/December/January/Febuary is about the time we get a little edgy and are willing to take the ride down to AC.
If someone gets a meet going, and it's a weekend, Sandy, Sue, & I will attend.

Lee --

I know what you mean about not having any desire to go to A.C. I'm only an hour and 45 minutes from A.C. by car, yet I make the five hour flight to Las Vegas almost as often as I drive to A.C.

I know it's been said so many times, but it's such a shame they don't do more with A.C. There really is nothing to do there other than gamble.

When I do go, tend to stay overnight at Bally's. At least Bally's has a really nice spa, so that gives me a diversion from the tables.

MarkL,
AC is a real disapointment. It has been from day 1. They (the casino people) must be happy the way things are and see no need for a change. Good for them, I'll keep my money longer and fly out to LV.

BTW, I have been to LV more ofter then I visited AC this past year. A 2 1/2 hr drive away for me, and I, just like you, would rather fly for 5 1/2 hrs to Vegas.

Lee or anybody: Have you ever stayed at the Trop? Recently? I'm curious about the rooms.

Veronica,
Michael and I have stayed at the Trop several times. They are generous with their room comps. It doesn't take too much play to get a room offer from them, especially during the AC slow season. Their rooms were nothing great, but they were fine. I don't think their standard room had a large bathroom with a whirlpool, although one time we were upgraded to a suite, which did have that. The suite wasn't as large as the one we had at the Taj that one time, but it was much larger than the standard Trop room.

V,
The Trop just sent my wife a free room offer. I've never tsaken then up on a room. We almost always stay at Bally's Park Place.

LeeAnn, Your right Trop is easy with the rooms offers.

Am I correct to assume that the rooms you have seen at Bally's Park Place are nicer than the Trop rooms? I really like Bally's rooms.

I haven't been gambling at the Trop for a few years since they took out the full-pay quarter JOBs in the no-smoking section upstairs if I'm remembering that correctly. Anybody know what VP is there now?
