Obviously, I need to make my first trip to AC<g>. I was rather surprised to see Lake Tahoe come out ahead of Reno for a gaming destination. Personally, I go to Lake Tahoe for the scenery, but I think the gaming is much better in Reno.

Daisy, that's the reason Lake Tahoe came out
ahead of Reno...you've got scenery AND gambling up there. My last W-2G came from
the Hyatt Lodge at Incline Village, as a matter of fact.

I know Atlantic City has been around longer but I think Foxwoods in Connecticut has it waaaaay over AC <s>.

WE haven't been to AC in years. From were I live its 400 miles to Tunica its no Vegas but lots of fun. They have 13 casinos now. Just don't go on the first 5 days of the month. All the welfare people in Memphis get their check and head for the casinos. I stay away from Vegas the first of the month for the same reason. They all come from LA. I am not against welfare but this is not what it is for

Dick, I usually drive thru Tahoe on my way to Reno...I love the contrast between the mountains, the desert and the valley (not to mention the lake<g> ), but I think the gaming is extremely limited at Tahoe. Congrats on your W2G at Hyatt, but you only have 3 choices of casinos on the north shore and 5.5 at south shore. The little 0.5 place (called the Nugget I think) may have single deck blackjack; you won't find it anywhere else at southshore....the major emphasis at south shore are slots with relatively few VP machines of any sort, let alone full-pay VP. There are at least twice as many casino choices in Reno, and the gaming is far more favorable IMO. I love staying a night in one of Caesars spa suites at Tahoe, but then I move over to Reno to search for a Royal.

Kizzy: I don't go to Nevada or Costco around the 1st<vbg>.
