California voters passed Prop 1A (expanding tribal gaming) on Tuesday, and Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that a letter of intent was signed for a $60 million expansion of a tribal casino near Palm Springs. Harrah's will go ahead with its plans to invest $110 million into building a new casino in San Diego, breaking ground within three months.

Prop 1A pssed overwhelmingly, 64.6% to 35.4%, and a total of 12 out-of-state gambling organizations have already signed deals with tribes in California, and more deals are expected in the near future.
