My mom & I decided we needed an afternoon off, so we headed up to Jackson for lunch today. This place has already expanded a lot since I was there about 5-8 years ago; it was a rather dingy place inside some sort of temporary quonset hut of building. They now have a nice looking building, a nice restaurant, a showroom, a lounge (with quarter JOB) overlooking a pond, and it looks like they will just about double their size with the contruction going on. I was really impressed by the cleanliness.

Our lunch at the Raging River restaurant was good; my mom had a steak sandwich/fries with coffee; I had the Reuben/fries and a soft drink. The food was good, and the total bill was $15.

They did not have any of the Nevada-style slots yet, but they do have full-pay JOB in both nickels and quarters, and we spent 2-3 pleasant hours on nickel slots that gave us a choice of JOB, DW(not full-pay but fun), Lottery or slots. I tried everything except the lottery, and I got scalped as usual<g>, but I must be a great coach cuz my mom brought home some $$.

Overall, we had a great afternoon and will probably do it again.
