Boyd Corporation and MGM broke ground on Friday in a $500,000 ceremony to start the building of the new casino, Borgata, in Atlantic City. It is expected to be complete and opened within three years. They are promising a mammoth gambling resort.

This is the first new casino to be built since the Taj Mahal in 1990. Some people believe it will do for A.C. what the Mirage did for the strip. That's yet to be seen.

I, personally, am looking forward to it. It's time to bring A.C. into the present for gambling venues.
