Ameristar Missouri wants to tear down a wall separating the two riverboat casinos, River King & River Queen. This would create a 140,000 square foot casino floor.
the reason for the two "boat" casino is because back in the early days of Missouri gambling, you where given a window of 45 min. to board the "boat" every 2 hours. They would alternate vessels opening times so there would be no 2 hr wait to board for the patrons. Now the laws have changed and people can come and go as they please, so there is no longer a need for the wall.
I beleive these arn't really boats as much as they are barges.
