   EZ Pay Slots
EZ Pay slots are coming to Atlantic City. Those are the ones that print a ticket, instead of the coins dropping in the tray. Bally's claims they are switching to them, pending NJCCC approval.

Lee, Orleans Megabucks has the tickets in lieu of coins in the tray - you have to take them to a cashier to get your money. Personally, I prefer the coins. Wendell

Wendell,
I have mixed feelings about the tickets. But in Bally's case at AC it's the only way to go for them. I've personally waited over an hour for a fill at a machine already, and that's just too long.
I do agree I like handeling the coins. It makes you relize it's real money, not just some credit number on a machine. Now, here is where I falter on my stand against the machines. Those bar top machines. The coin tray is either filled with ashes, or sticky/slimy from drinks being spilled in them. Or worse a combination of all of the above. So, yes I like the ticket idea for the bartops! Here is the catch 22 however. The bartenders hate them! It reduces hand pays at the bar, and no longer can you drop a hand full of dollars in a tip jar after a good win, to a good bartender for his efforts. More often then not, when the customer walks away with that ticket to the change booth, he doesn't return to the bar and tip a little extra. I returned after a goldcoast win, to tip the bartender a little more and he said he was very greatful and that the machines have cut into his tips. I was the first one today to return to tip, and his shift was over in 2 hrs. That's not to say he wasn't making regular tips, just not getting the bonanza he used to get with the coin machines.
