I need some help! I have received an offer from the "Red Lion" in Elko for three days, room, air, and misc! It came snail mail addressed to "irishmick _________". I have no idea where and how they obtained my home addy and correct name but used irishmick as my given??
Anywho!! I have never been to Elko and know nothing of the place, and can't even find a map of the casinos and their closeness to each other?
What can anyone tell me of this town and this Casino? Is it worth it? $99/per person for all! I am tempted to try it as all the dang airfare is so high right now! We have a six day trip to Las Vegas for the 2nd of October, but could squeeze another in for Nov.
Any info would be great as I don't even know anyone that has been there,,Looks good on paper, but who knows? HELP, PLEASE..!! :rolleyes:

We have been to the Red Lion in Elko. It was several years ago. It is located out of town, but is or was, quite nice. They had a smaller casino, and there was a motel across the street, where we stayed, as we had our dogs with us, with a tiny casino. The Red Lion used to have charter flights there from Boise, when we lived there. I think there was a regular schedule around the Northwest. Elko downtown has larger casinos, and they are, or were, all old places, but larger than the Red Lion. I would say that the Red Lion is the "class act" of Elko.........but not like going to Las Vegas, or even Laughlin. There is a website for the Red Lion Casino, and it tells about the flights. It says they have 500 machines, and tells about the hotel, and more about Elko.
