Seneca Niagara: vp bad, slots good
Seneca Niagara: vp bad, slots good
Another daytrip to Seneca Niagara with my girlfriend. Videopoker was not kind, despite (between the two of us) appealing to the gods of deuces, bonus, and ddb. I think the highest hand either of us saw was a full house - and maybe only 2 of them between us.

The slots, however, were another story. I did well on Star Wars, and got 3 bonus game on Monopoly Grand Hotel (especially fun after 2 cosmos, and you've gone down to $11 and are suddenly up to $100 plus)

on the 25 cent wheel of fortune, my friend hit the coveted 1,000 quarters on the wheel. That results in a handpay at Seneca niagara, and lots of folks stopping to watch.

What fun!

Kes - Congrats on the wins. It seems like you usually win at Seneca Niagara, right?

Thanks Mike. I have had a pretty good track record there (all things considered)

But its been almost all slots. The winning, that is. Best I've gotten playing vp in the last 4 visits is one (Yes, one) quad playing bonus poker.

I've done a little better at vp across the river in the Fallsview casino.

Now I don't play as long as a lot of you - but for equivalent play in other places I've done better.

The Seneca Niagara slot machines, however - 75% of the time I come out ahead on that play (so far!)

Gonna be in Buffalo this summer, Mike?

Wow, that should be a great celebration!

If you get the urge to drive to the other side of Grand Island, David and I would be glad to meet you there, perhaps over a bowl of roasted corn chowder with cinnamon croutons?

Just be aware that July 6, 7 & 8 there is a big native american pow wow in front of the casino. I guess that could mean lots of people to avoid, or lots of interesting things to see. All dpends on your perspective!

Kes - Unfortunately, my time is limited and my days are fairly booked, with family activities and plans with some Buffalo friends. Maybe next time?

Kes,

Mike's just not very sociable. He never calls me when he's in Columbus on business either. wink

Kes,
Congrats on the slot wins! I have been sneeking off to play the slots more and more these last several years.
Isn't there some saying that goes something like..."sometimes it's better to be lucky then good" or something like that?

Way to go, Kes! Haven't I been saying that a lot lately? I'm kinda jealous since I just got back from Reno, with a lighter wallet. frown

Oh, don't be too jealous, Daisy. You know how it is - I have a tendancy to post about the winning trips. Went to the "racino" yesterday and didn't see anything on slots or videopoker (even though the videopoker is really just a glorified slot machine there!)

Lee, don't feel you hafta sneek! Do we need to form a support group - "the players normally known as vp only gamblers" ? (lol)

and Jeff - (and Mike too) Don't worry. I have distant parents and family too, and I KNOW what it is to be family-scheduled. But it is a blessing! Sure Mike, anytime.
