New casino is beautiful. Could be on the strip in vegas.

But, I visited Sunday morning around 10am when it was slower and found a number of items that disappointed me.

1) Arrived in the parking garage only to find them directing everyone to the top floors. As you drove up you could see the lower floors where empty. We drove back down to level 5 and parked at the door.

2) 4 hours playing machines and never saw beverage service.

3) High number of machines where out of order.

4) When I did try to cash in my ticket for $135. I found 11 self cashing machines had "insufficent Funds" to cash my ticket and two were out of order. Guess I won too much (haha).

Other then those issues the place looked great and I look forward to dining in the restaurants soon.

This was SUNDAY at 10AM, remember you live in Michigan NO booze before Noon on Sunday. SO the waitress are probily not working because beverage service comes from the bar.

Where is the new casino located in relation ship to the old one. I've been to Motor City and Greek Town, only driven by MGM.

I'll be up in January for teh auto show and may want to check it out.

I just wanted a diet pop. Even after noon, two hours and no beverage service. Never had a problem at the temporary MGM getting a beverage in morning hours.

You might want to stay there. The rooms are suppose to top anything in Vegas. And your windsor & Vegas comps can be used there.

Okay M2C, we went there Saturday afternoon. It is beautiful but I don't feel the need to go back for a long long long time! Yes it could be on the Strip but just by looks alone.

I agree the drink service was terrible, the lines for the restaurants were outragous, the the traffic to get out was ridiculus. The line of cars off the freeway must have been at least an hour wait just to get in the parking garage, OUCH!

I think once the other 2 (motorcity & greektown) are finally finished the crowds will go down but for now I'm staying away, very far away!!! At least now I can say been there done that.

Sounds like when the temporary casino first opened in Windsor.

Do you feel the need to go back to Vegas? I think your last trip you were herding relatives around!

Sorry I'm in error you can't use the windsor comps cuz they are Caesars now.
I'm not going to the MGM for at least a month, when the traffic problem is fixed and the rest of the buggs are out. I've enough comps for a room so I'll check that out when I go.

Kes-Actually Tim & I are going on the 23rd. It's a low key trip only 3 nights. We weren't planning on a trip this year but we got great airfare and free room so what the heck...LOL! No relatives this time just the 2 of us.

BTW my mom and I are going to AC on Nov 10th, it'll be my 1st time.
