Well this year we didn't make the trip to LV like I would have liked to have done. Airfare just never dropped top a reasonable price, so off to AC we went for 3 days of fun? We arrived fairly early Sunday, so we had all day to enjoy? AC. Check in at Ceasars, went suprisingly smooth, they put us in "the old north tower" by old I'm guessing circa 1955. We received a check in goodie bag of discounts to some of the ceasar mall resturants. More on that later. We head down to the casino and begin our loosing vacation. I'll report right now, there where few if any bright spots to report in the gambling collum. AC isn't known for it's great VP and I have nothing new to report. We grad a quick bite in the dimond lounge to hold us over till dinner time. The food was edible, but not one item available was great. But for free, at least the price was right. Back to the poor pay games. We broke it up with some slot play here and there, the place wasn't crowded, and moving around was easy. The new smoking laws are a killer however, and it limits our range of motion in any AC casino. Ceasars was kind enough to supply maps as to where you could smoke and where you can't. Only 25% of the casino floor space is smoking in any AC casino. Dinner was at the ceasars mall over the pier at Phillips seafood. Overpriced seafood, is the best discription. Again nothing was great, but it was all edible. After dinner we got out of caesars and off to Harrahs. What a differance. The "questionable people" where cut to a minimum. By questionable people, I mean people that you wonder what they are doing in a casino. The unclean smelly people, street people, the cons, the rappers, gangsta's, backpackers...oh the list goes on and on. Anyway, Harahs was a joy. Cocktail service was wonderful here, almost too wonderful. Yes I was over served! On our taxi back at 3am in the morning, I said to the cab driver gangsta central please. She drove us to Ceasars. I won't mention how much I lost here this first evening, but lets just say, those airline tickets would have been one heck of a bargin! Up early, can't sleep. y back and hip are killing me. I have a choice. Meds or drink, last evening we drank, this morning I can barely walk. Looks like a sober new years for me. Vicoden is my friend today! LOL About noon we are able to eat at the coffee shop for lunch, and then off to the Borgata. The VP here makes Ceasars look wonderful. But we trudge on, and oddly enough, while I lost, I lost at a slower pace here. Probably the fault of the vicoden, due to my slow play. Cab back to Ceasars for dinner, at Mia. A very nice overpriced dinner. $200 for 2 no drinks. We where invited back to join them at 10:30 for a new years party, but declined. We had show tickets for Patti LaBell. I'm not a fan, but tickets where free. Oh my god! I guess I just don't get out enough. Patti is 63. I thought I was in a baptist church. Well southern baptist church on acid maybe would be a better discription. There was crying, amens from the audience, ballons from the ceiling, and several shoe changes while performing. People started leving during her closing number. I've never seen peoplr behave like this during a live show. BTW, she also had her chior there. After the show we went to bed, to find a goodie hat filled with hats and noise makers and food (chocolats and cookies and crackers). NY day, we woke, checked out, and had brunch. Drove home.
The whole thing was comped my Ceasars. Sharon even got a nice $100 bonus to start her gambling off. But they got it back in gambling losses from us.

Mike, It wasn't my bag at all, the Patti Labell show. Happy New Year to you as well. More Royals in 08, would be just great!
Senator, Why is does Ceasars attract all the low life? It's not just Ceasars, first of all. But lets look at that for a momment. The boardwalk is in the middle of a slum, 6hr bus trips (day trippers/ night trippers), The grouping of all those casinos togeather on the boardwalk, make for a lot of places to "hang out". M2C of course. We watched a man steal 287 credits from a fifty cent slot machine, in Ceasars. I sure as heck wasn't going to be no hero. We walked away. After that, we both got the creeps of AC.
