   Smoke Free AC
I heard a rumor that Atlantic City has voted to make all of it's casinos smoke free. They are allowed to build enclosed rooms for smokers to enjoy a cig.

We fly from Portland,Or to Las Vegas and have for years. Sometimes we have a stop over in Reno. Until a couple of years ago the terminal there was smoke free. EXCEPT..they had a small room about 16x20 that had a couple of chairs and I can't remember but maybe a few slot machines. When you stood or walked by this room, you could not see anyone in there as it was just utter white smoke...You did not have to light up yourself...

One more reason not to go to Atlantic City.

We wouldn't be back befor November anyway, so I am guessing we have already made our last trip for a long while.

The ban will only make it for about one month - the city council voted Monday to rescind the measure, and the mayor has already signed off on it. On November 16, the AC casinos will go back to the previous arrangement, allowing smoking on no more than 25% of the casino floor.

They (casinos) are claiming that is why the drop off in revenues. It's the darn smoking ban. Yes, we have some hard liners here that won't go if they can't smoke (on the east coast) but I can't help but wonder if maybe it's other reasons the steady tide of customers rolling into AC has shifted. Like maybe whats happend to everyones retirement fund? The price of consumer goods? GAS/oil?

RUkiding, LOL, I'm still not rushing back to AC

We get a lot of people at Horseshoe Hammond who come from Illinois simply because they can actually smoke here in Indiana. Illinois had banned all smoking in their casinos. Truth be told, after 8 hours of people blowing cigarette smoke in my face at the blackjack table, I sometimes wish Indiana had the same ban. sick
