   Give aways
   Give aways
It finally cooled off enough for sweatshirts tonight and I grabed the Red Riviera sweatshirt that I got as a consolation prize in their $40 for $20 slot promotion. This was from our first trip and was the first time I ever touched a slot machine. At first I thought it was the biggest rip off I'ld ever seen. Then I saw what they were asking for some of those "give away" items in the logo stores.

Now I sort of like these "give away" or consolation prizes. I even look for them like trophy hunting. To date I have collected the afore mentioned sweatshirt, a gym bag and baseball cap from 4 queens, t-shirt from Tropoicanna. My wife also has a Crazy Girls wind breaker & hat. We have decks of cards from the Trop., Riv., & 4 Queens. We haven't done the Trop's $50 for $20

The Crazy Girls wind breaker was sort of fun. We both work at a Catholic hospital and one day I happened to notice my wife wearing her Crazy Girls jacket. I told my wife she might want to take it off in the hospital as the Nuns might have a heart attack if they read it. On the back it says "Crazy Girls Las Vegas sexiest topless review."

does anyone else have fun with these casino "give aways".

Doug,

We have mugs(not plastic)from Bourbon Street, Excalibur, Fitzgeralds and many from the imploded Sands. Also have baseball caps from Fitzgeralds and Barbary Coast and both are very good quality. In the past we had several of the bright pink fanny packs and caps from Circus Circus that our grandchildren loved plus the regular keychains and cards from many casinos. When we first visited, collecting giveaway souvenirs seemed like the thing to do. Don't do it anymore as we once did; however, it was fun.
Oh, yes, don't forget the cheap plastic visor from Imperial Palace.

Another was a tropical picture t-shirt from Tropicana, gym bag from Excalibur and a flashlight-toolkit from Sam's Town (with slot club points).

Beth

Doug,
My late father always told me..."for free, take"! LOL

I have done the Riviera's & Tropicana's 40 for 20 thing, or what ever they are calling it. I did it on one trip and I liked what we walked away with, 2 multi game hand heald pocket casino games. We used them on the plane trips, to & from LV. Got 2 camera's and some sun glasses too.
But I always look first and see if there is something I'd want in the glass display before investing. Because I have yet to see someone actually win on the slots there. Your almost asured you'll be picking a prize, instead of leaving with cash in hand. <S>

As for casino free-B's
1 Sahara jacket (slot point promo)
a couple of coffee mugs, a few t-shirts,
some chip clips,
multi types of pens & markers,
bottle & can openers,
Key chains, dice, hats, sun visors, frisbee's, flashlights, tool kits (mini), pins, and other assorted junk.
